Monday Touch

On Monday we do touch after school. The Colts have not lost a game neather had the Hawks. For the Colts, Jacob and Lachie got named player of the day last week. Ben is playing for Outram. Ben lost most games but won 2 games. Taylah and Charlotte got selected for the Taieri representative touch teams. Kat and Mel come in to coach us and run training on Thursday lunchtime - almost the whole school gets involved!

We have been using Storybird to create picture books this week - this was a really fun way of writing and publishing our work. The beautiful illustrations gave us some really good ideas for our writing. Have a read of some of our work here!

Otago players visit

Yesterday we had lock Jackson Hemopo (Palmerston North),  prop Hisa Sasagi (Samoa) and  lock Blair Tweed (Waitahuna) from the Otago ITM Cup rugby team visit us. Jade was nominated for kid of the week and is going to run the ball out to the middle of the field at the Otago game against Tasman on Friday!

Kia Kaha

On Friday we started Kia Kaha with Constable Parcell. On the first day of kia kaha we made a shield. Kia Kaha stands for 'stand tall and stand strong'. On Monday we learnt what Responsible and Rights are. Responsible means you are responsible for something. Rights means what everyone deserves. Yesterday we learnt who bullies are and what makes people bully.
