Cloud in a Jar

Today we wanted to make a cloud in a Jar. Impossible you say. Well it's not!

To make a cloud in a Jar you will need...

- A Jar

- Matches

- Warm Water

- An ice pack

- A piece of black paper

We put about one third of a cup of warm water into the jar. Then we lit a match, blew it out and dropped it in the water. We then quickly covered the top of the jar with the icepack for two minutes. We could see the cloud start to form in the jar. Then we released the ice pack and the cloud came out. the top!

It was a lot of fun making clouds in a jar.

  2. Hi Room 1,
What an awesome idea. I love your science experiment and your discussion. Videoing is very clever to show a science experiment, and sharing it on your blog lets us all benefit from it. I think you are very clever. I can't wait to see your next science idea on here.... I hope you get a lot of visits and comments this week. What do you like most about your blog?

  4. Hi Room 1

That was really cool how you took the ice pack off and smoke came out.

How did you make it smoke?

    1. Hi
When the hot and cold air pressure clashes it forms fog or smoke. We put the match stick in so that there were particals to make the smoke.
      Thanks,
